COMMUNITY CENTERS … IMPACTING THE LOCAL SOCIETY WITH CARE

The purpose of the Community Centre program is, through Church partnerships, to strengthen the local Church in Eastern Europe in reaching out, with social assistance, to the poor and needy in their neighborhoods. We also focus on enabling the Church to have a qualified person that can respond to the emotional and spiritual needs of the beneficiaries. The Community Centre program program is carried out with the support and involvement of sponsors in the West, and we help the beneficiaries without regard to their religion, ethnic background or political views. It has a strong emphasis on showing compassion and the sharing of God’s love for the people in impoverished and difficult circumstances. The governmental pensions are not enough to provide the elderly with the basic needs of food, clothing and shelter. Not only this, but this group also experiences social isolation, spiritual disorientation and various health problems on a daily basis … they are often overlooked, undernourished and neglected by society at large.

By establishing soup kitchens in targeted areas, MWB, with its cooperating partners, is able to offer these recipients daily servings of food, counsel their emotional needs as well as minister to their hearts with the saving grace of Jesus Christ
